The University of Manchester India scholarship is available across all our Master's courses, with a value of £7,500 towards the tuition fee. The scholarship will be awarded to one applicant in line with our application deadlines so early application is advisable.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible if you are an Indian resident and have received an offer to study on one of our Master's courses by 30 April 2020.

How do I apply?

There is no scholarship application process. If you are eligible you will be automatically considered.

What are the criteria?

Decisions are made based on merit rather than financial need. The scholarship is awarded if you:

  • Are able to demonstrate excellent academic performance
  • Are on track to obtain, or who have graduated with, a minimum high 2.1 or 1st UK undergraduate degree or overseas equivalent.
  • Have previously studied at a University with a strong academic reputation and ranking.
  • Have the potential to contribute and enrich all aspects of the Master's course and the diverse academic and cultural profile of the Master's class

When are they announced?

Scholarship allocation will be made by 15 May 2020 and successful applicants will be notified on this date. Selected candidates will be required to firmly accept their offer of a place by 29 May 2020 in order to confirm their scholarship.
