SI-UK Thailand (online)
Representative: Professor Melvyn Peters

Are you interested in studying Logistics and Supply Chain Management? Join Professor Melvyn Peters as he gives an insight into studying Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Cranfield. He will also discuss his thoughts on Amazon and its innovative drone delivery service as a solution to supply chain challenges facing the industry.

What to expect

Consumers are increasingly turning to e-commerce for their shopping needs and this comes with the expectation of speedy fulfilment. As a result, the race is on to develop new technologies and innovative supply chain models to increase volume, expedite deliveries, and delight customers but at a lower cost.  Unfortunately, last-mile delivery (to your front door) is both the most expensive and time-consuming part of the shipping process.

The webinar will look at the technical solutions being deployed and the case for urban drone delivery using Amazon as a test case.
